The Quality Scheme is open to Physio First members who are HCPC-registered physiotherapists. Clinic membership is available for physiotherapist-led clinics, even if your wider team includes other health professionals.
Yes, Every practitioner submitting data through the Quality Scheme must hold individual Physio First membership, either independently or as part of your clinic membership.
No, While the Data for Impact (DfI) tool measures musculoskeletal (MSK) outcomes, it naturally includes orthopaedic discharge and post-surgical home visits where movement or function is limited by joint or muscle issues.
Yes – provided the clinic is physiotherapist-led.
The Quality Scheme supports all areas of physiotherapy where outcomes relate to physical function and rehabilitation.
1. Join Physio First through Clinic Membership.
2. Once registered, go to the Data for Impact (DfI) section on the Physio First Quality page and complete the registration form.
3. The Keele University DfI team will then contact you with your login details and supporting information.
The DfI system is managed by Keele University in collaboration with Physio First.
Keele oversees registration, onboarding, and technical support for data collection.
Please allow time for a response — the Keele team are currently handling high volumes following the new DfI launch.

Our research team at University of Brighton have been unstacking our large data bank over recent years and have created some powerful messages from that data which Physio First members are able to use in the promotion and marketing of the value of their practice to existing, and potential patients.
This information can be supplied to Physio First members in the form of ready designed infographics, or for members who have the technology, can be produced directly from the individualised reports supplied by the University of Brighton.
