Our Membership Categories
Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. The initial payment is made by debit or credit card, and you’ll need to complete a Direct Debit mandate for future payments, either annually or through our pay-as-you-go option.

Choose the membership category that suits your situation:
Annual Full member
Full membership is open to HCPC-registered physiotherapists who are either:
- Self-employed in private practice, or
- Employed by a Limited Company that is substantially owned by HCPC-registered physiotherapists.
The cost of annual membership for the year beginning 1st April 2024 is £260.
Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
Direct Debit instructions will be activated on or shortly after 1st April.
For those joining after 1st April, the membership fee will be calculated on a pro-rata basis until the end of the subscription period.
Annual Affiliate member
Affiliate membership is open to physiotherapists employed in a private practice where the principal or physiotherapist manager is a Full member of Physio First.
The cost of annual Affiliate membership for the year beginning 1st April 2024 is £240.
Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
Direct Debit instructions will be activated on or shortly after 1st April.
For those joining after 1st April, the membership fee will be calculated on a pro-rata basis until the end of the subscription period.
Pay-as-you-go membership
Our Pay-as-You-Go option provides month-by-month access to all the benefits of Physio First, with no contract and no hidden clauses. However, this membership requires a Direct Debit instruction to be set up for monthly payments.

PAYG Membership Costs Per Month:
- £23 for Full membership
- £22 for Affiliate membership
These rates may be subject to change in line with our annual subscription rate.
QAC Participation Programme
Our QAC participation programme is a subscription that allows Physio First Full members to register their clinic team as data inputters for the Data for Impact scheme at a low-cost annual fee. This subscription helps clinics work towards achieving the Quality Assured Clinic (QAC) award.
Please note, this is not a membership category, and QAC subscribers do not have access to full membership benefits.

Re-Join
To complete your re-joining process, simply email [email protected] with your full name, membership number (if known), and whether you’d like to opt for an annual or PAYG subscription.
We’ll get everything set up for you as quickly as possible.
What you’ll need to apply:
- Your Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) number
- Debit or credit card details
- Bank details for Direct Debit
If you set up a Direct Debit for subscriptions after your first year, you’ll receive a £20 discount on the annual rate.

Important: We cannot offer refunds on annual subscriptions cancelled during the membership year. If you wish to cancel, please provide at least four weeks' notice before the 1st April renewal date to allow time to cancel your Direct Debit.
Journal subscription
Open to any individual, company or organisation who would like our journal, In Touch, delivered to their door.
In Touch contains clinical and business articles and general information about Physio First.
Annual subscription is £40.
