Individual Membership is for physiotherapists working independently in private practice, across all specialties.
You can join if you are:
• Self-employed and working independently, including part-time or alongside NHS work
• Employed by a practice or company that is owned or majority-owned by physiotherapists
• A recent graduate in your first year post-qualification (see Graduate Membership)
This membership is designed for one practitioner.
If you run a clinic with a wider team, please see Clinic Membership.

Eligibility

If applying for Graduate Membership, please have your qualification date available. You may be asked to provide evidence if required.
Membership Year
-
Standard Individual Membership:
The membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March. When you renew by Direct Debit, your membership renews automatically each year on 1 April.-
If you join before the 31st March 2026, your first payment is calculated on a pro rata basis and covers your membership through to 31st March 2027.
-
-
Graduate Membership:
Graduate Membership is a 12-month fixed term from the date you join. It is a one-off card payment, does not renew automatically, and at the end of the 12 months you can move to standard Individual Membership if you wish to continue.
What You’ll Need to Apply
-
Your Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) number.
-
Debit or credit card details for your initial payment.
-
Bank details to set up a Direct Debit for future renewals.
-
If applying for Graduate Membership: your physiotherapy qualification date (you may be asked for evidence if required).
Terms and Conditions
-
Membership fees are non-refundable once your membership year or Graduate Membership term has started,
-
To pay by instalments or to renew at the Direct Debit rate, you must set up a Direct Debit mandate in your name. Your first payment is taken by card; all future payments for that membership year will be taken automatically by Direct Debit on your chosen schedule.
-
To stop your membership renewing, please contact us at least four weeks before your renewal date so that your Direct Debit can be cancelled in time. Cancelling your Direct Debit stops future payments but does not refund any fees already paid.
-
Graduate Membership is a one-off 12-month card payment. It does not use Direct Debit and does not renew automatically; the same non-refund policy applies once the 12-month term has started.
