I was born in the Netherlands and always had a special interest in biology, people and animals. Realising during my teenage years that perhaps becoming a vet wasn’t really my thing, I became interested in physiotherapy and successfully completed the BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2011.
After working in the Netherlands as a physiotherapist for a couple of years in a well known sports injury clinic, I decided to travel through Asia for a few months. At the time not yet realising I would meet a charming English man and deciding in 2014 to move to London to follow my heart.
In the years that followed I successfully continued working as a physiotherapist within the private sector in South West London. I continued to widen and enhance my skills as a physiotherapist through ongoing learning, courses and work experience. A few examples of enhanced skills are in Medical taping, Mulligan Mobilisation technique’s, clinical governance and running assessments.
In 2023 my husband and I decided to finally make our long term plan a reality and move to the countryside near Beaminster. After finishing my maternity leave I worked for a couple of years at a private clinic in Poundbury and soon realised the lack of high quality physiotherapy clinics in West Dorset. With the NHS sadly being overwhelmed and lacking resources I decided to set up my own Physiotherapy clinic in Bridport, to support the local community, reducing the need for patients to travel to other cities and continue helping people feel like the best version of themselves regardless of age, injuries, illness or disability.
