Physio First and the CSP work together on student placement
In 2023 two students on placement with the CSP and Physio First undertook a project to understand the benefits and barriers involved for placement opportunities within the independent and private physiotherapy sector, and looked at how private work was different to that within the NHS. The students interviewed, both face to face and remotely, a range of private practitioners, many of whom were Physio First members working in different specialties and settings.Towards the end of their placement, the students produced guidance aimed dispelling the myths around student placement, and informing both practitioners and students on the value of private practice as a placement option.
