International Recruitment FAQ's
How much does it cost to become a UK Visa Sponsor?
For most physiotherapy clinics the cost will be a one off £536 application fee which is paid on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) website when applying to become a visa sponsor.
How long does it take to become a UK Visa Sponsor?
The application typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks for a decision to be made. There is an expedited option available for any clinics wanting a faster decision. We can start recruiting for you while your application is underway and make effective use of the time while you wait for your sponsor licence.
How does Jobs and Visas help the candidates?
We understand that candidates need to be registered with HCPC and CSP. We instruct all our candidates to register with HCPC (if they are not already registered) during our screening interviews. Once our candidates accept a job offer and their visa application is well under way, we instruct them to apply for their CSP registration (CSP requires a UK address). We also provide advice and guidance on the visa application process and on what to expect when moving to the UK.
How much are Jobs and Visas recruitment fees?
We are delighted to offer all Physio First members a 2.5% discount off our standard recruitment fees. This means that our fees will be 10% of the candidates base salary excluding bonuses and other benefits. To put it simply, if you offer the candidate a salary of £35,000, our fee will be £3,500 which is payable 30 days after the candidate starts working for you. We also offer a generous 12 week prorated rebate.
How much does it cost to sponsor a Visa for a Physiotherapist?
To apply to sponsor a physiotherapist you have to submit a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) application. The application is submitted online through UK Visas and Immigration portal, known as the Sponsor Management System (SMS) and to sponsor a 3 year Health and Care Worker visa currently costs just over £1,300. The application is quick and easy and typically takes around 10 minutes to complete.
Do I need to pay relocation expenses?
No. Most international physiotherapist are grateful for the opportunity to live / work in the UK and do not expect their relocation expenses to be paid. Obviously, any offer of assistance is very much appreciated!
What countries does Jobs and Visas target?
Jobs and Visas is a NHS Ethical Recruiter, something we are very proud of, and this prohibits us from recruiting from any countries on the World Health Organisation Amber/Red List. We target predominantly English speaking countries and countries where English is widely spoken.
