Since 2013 she has offered to support students in the clinical area to assist them in the transition from simulated patient care to actual patient care - each student can sign up for either a morning or afternoon session lasting about 4 hours, a few example skills that students have managed to do are:- cardioversion, cannulation, venepuncture, IV fluids, IV drugs, suturing, lumbar puncture, observing or becoming involved in trauma,resuscitation and simple observations etc.
