About the tutor

Klaudine is the Senior Clinical Skills Tutor for Undergraduate Medicine at Cambridge University. Her role involves teaching practical skills set by the General Medical Council to undergraduate medical students. She also teaches lumbar puncture, bi-manual pelvic examination, rectal examination, suturing, ophthalmology, auroscopy and knee aspiration and is an Advance Life Support Instructor (ALS).

Since 2013 she has offered to support students in the clinical area to assist them in the transition from simulated patient care to actual patient care - each student can sign up for either a morning or afternoon session lasting about 4 hours, a few example skills that students have managed to do are:- cardioversion, cannulation, venepuncture, IV fluids, IV drugs, suturing, lumbar puncture, observing or becoming involved in trauma,resuscitation and simple observations etc.
