Criteria for Physio First Competition for 5 Free places at Conference 2012

Physio First Conference 2012 "It’s a Question of Sport".

The Diamond Jubilee Conference

28 – 29 April 2012

The competition is open to all New Graduate Physiotherapists who qualified since June 2010. The entrant may apply to the Physio First Office for details: please email Alice Kettle at alice.kettle@physiofirst.org.uk

The following criteria apply:-

The application should comprise two sheets of A4, one to be a covering letter which must at least include name, address, phone, email (and any other contact details) and date and place of qualification.

The submission should be no longer than one sheet of A4 and on a separate sheet to the covering letter.

The submission broadly must explain why attendance at the Conference might benefit the applicant.

In detail it may include any special interest in the Conference topic, any appreciation or knowledge of the speakers and the like. It may also include how any acquired knowledge may help them in the future and any plans they may have concerning their future, perhaps even in private practice. These are purely suggestions intended to aid applicants and are not intended to be exhaustive.

In judging the submissions consideration will be given to content, style, clarity and innovative thinking.

Equal consideration will be given to those applicants who have not found employment following graduation.

The five winners will each be awarded attendance for two days at the Physio First Conference 2012, "It’s a Question of Sport". The Diamond Jubilee Conference

to be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, UK on the weekend of 28 – 29 April 2012.

Each winner will be asked to submit a short assessment of their experience after the Conference, which may be printed in "In Touch", the Physio First journal.

The competition is open to all New Graduate Physiotherapists who qualified since June 2009.
